Walt Disney World Tip | Fort Wildnerness campfire and movie

As I’ve said before -  Walt Disney World is more than just the theme parks – if you are looking for some good old fashioned evening entertainment then you can’t go wrong with the campfire singalong and movie over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

During the summer months the evening kicks off at 7.30pm with the lighting of two campfires. The Chuckwagon sells supplies so that you can roast marshmallows or cook hotdogs over the flames – you can also bring your own snacks along with you.

At 8pm a Cast Member leads the group in a sing-a-long, with the Hokey-Cokey and the Chicken Dance among the repertoire. Chip ‘n Dale join in the fun – and are happy to give autographs or have their pictures taken.

Finally at 8.40pm you can settle down to watch the Disney movie of the evening.

There are bleachers as well as large benches with backs, but you could take along your own blankets or lawn chairs to make yourself comfortable.

The campfire singalong is free and open to guests staying on Disney property.
