The Princess and the Frog – teaser trailer

The Princess and the Frog has a scheduled release date of December 25, 2009 – but here is a teaser trailer to whet your appetite.

An American fairy tale musical set in New Orleans during the 1920s Jazz Age, The Princess and the Frog will be the first traditionally animated movie since the 2004 movie Home on the Range, and when completed will be Disney’s 48th animated feature film.

John Musker and Ron Clements of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin fame are directing the movie, with songs and score composed by Randy Newman. The movie will star the voice talents of Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, John Goodman, Jenifer Lewis, Angela Bassett and Peter Bartlett.

Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose is providing the voice for the lead character, Tiana – who will be the first black Disney princess.
