[advert1]If you’re a fan of the 3 o’clock parade at the Magic Kingdom then you’ll love the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! street party; the latest in a long line of Main Street parades.  A caravan of floats, characters, dancers and stilt walkers parades up Main Street before stopping around the hub in front of Cinderella Castle.

The move it! shake it! celebrate it! street party song “Pumping Up the Party” is pretty infectious and encourages guests to fall in behind the final float: “Hey! Get up! Get loud! Start pumping up the party now!”

The five floats are dressed up like huge gifts to make this year’s celebration theme and feature Aladdin‘s Genie, Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast, Sebastian (the crab from The Little Mermaid) and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.

The parade runs three times a day so make sure you don’t miss it. Here’s are some tips from the guys at the Orlando Sentinal about the best way to experience the Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! Street Party:

  • If you want to be surrounded by the party, watch from the inner circle of the castle hub. But don’t wait too long to secure a spot. When the floats enter the area, it’s more difficult — sometimes impossible — to cross over.
  • Search for Hidden Mickeys in the dancer costumes.
  • There’s so much activity, it can be tricky to spot where the host is stationed. (That disembodied voice that keeps saying “Make some noise!”) The lead float parks at the very base of the castle, and that’s a good spot to watch from. Besides, that’s where Mickey and Minnie hang for the party.
