Festival of the Masters comes to Downtown Disney – November 7-9, 2008

The lake at Downtown Disney will once again become the backdrop for more than 150 artisans displaying their original creations when the annual Festival of the Masters returns from November 7 through 9.

The Festival of the Masters is presented by Sharpie and is a nationally recognised art show which ranks among the country’s best outdoor festival.

Artists whose creations are on display have all earned a primary award at an art festival during the last three years. The strict application process ensures that visitors are treated to one of the finest art collections in the nation.

Sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, glass, and digital art are just some of the art genres showcased at this year’s Festival of the Masters event. Street painters from the Florida Chalk Artists Association will decorate some 6,000 square feet of sidewalk with unique drawings. Youngsters can take in the fun with live music, face painting and interactive kid’s zones.

Over at Downtown Disney’s West Side, the House of Blues will celebrate the creative spirit of folk art during the 10th annual “Where the Art Meets the Soul” Folk Art Festival.

To add an international touch to the festival, the Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant will host the works of three artists associated with the Cherrylane Fine Arts Gallery in Delgany, County Wicklow, Ireland.
