Disney World Shoes – What Are The Best Shoes for Disney World?

Today we need to talk about Disney World shoes. A Disney World vacation is not for the faint hearted – you could be on your feet for up to 16 hours a day and you will walk miles at each theme park. This means you need a good pair of shoes for Disney World – kitten heels may look cute but your feet will complain all day!

What Are The Best Shoes for Disney World?

So the question you need to ask is what are the best shoes for your Disney World vacation? They need to be comfortable, worn in and let your feet breathe. If you want to buy new shoes for your vacation make sure you take some time to wear them in before your vacation. New shoes generally result in blisters otherwise – and you don’t want blisters on your vacation.

Some people swear by flip flops, and you see many people wearing them in the parks. Personally I keep my flip flops for the Water Parks, I just don’t think they offer enough support for a long day walking around the parks.

Other people think that their sneakers are the best shoes for their Disney vacation. To be honest I used to be in this camp – but the main problem with sneakers is that your feet get hot and that can be uncomfortable.

I think the hands down best shoes to wear to Disney are Crocs. Yes, I know, you probably think they look hideous and wouldn’t be seen dead in a pair. But your feet will thank you for them! My husband used to laugh at my Crocs until I bought him a pair for our last trip. He has size 15 feet and I could only get hold of a bright red pair so he was reticent about wearing them. But after a couple of days admitted that they were in fact more comfortable than his sneakers – and while he would never wear them in the ‘real world’ he’s now a Crocs convert for our Disney World vacations

Crocs can take some getting used to so if you are going to take the plunge I recommend you buy yourself a pair and practice walking in them a few weeks before your trip.
