Help Disney Donate a Book to a Child in Need

If you’ve ever visited my other website: Blue Archipelago you’ll know that I’m an avid reader and a firm believer that all children should have the chance to discover reading. That’s why I was pleased to discover First Book; a nonprofit organisation with a single mission: to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books.

This fantastic organisation provides an ongoing supply of new books to children who take part in community-based mentoring, tutoring, and family literacy programs. Over the years First Book has provided more than 50 million new books to children in need in thousands of communities nationwide.

To celebrate the release of the new Adam Sandler movie; Bedtime Stories, Disney Publishing Worldwide has joined forces with First Book to provide 250,000 brand new books to their programme.
