[advert1]If you’re planning a Disney Cruise then you usually need to make reservations far in advance to secure one of the main dining times. Book a last-minute trip and you’re likely to find yourself eating as late as 8.30pm which can be a pain if you are travelling with children.

The Disney Cruise Line is trying to make dinner times onboard ship much less stressful with their new Dine and Play option – which lets your kids eat earlier:

  • Dine and Play is available for all kids aged between three and 12
  • During second dining just tell the server that your kids want to participate in the dine and Play scheme
  • Your child will be served first while your meal is served at the usual leisurely pace
  • About 45 minutes after second dining begins the Youth Activities Counselors arrive to sign you fed and full kids up to the Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney’s Oceaneer Lab and then they are escorted to Deck 5
  • You get to finish your meal without any tired and hungry kids – while they get to play
  • Everyone is happy

The Dine and Play option is available in any of the main dining rooms aboard the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder.
