Cypress Gardens hosts first charity float-a-thon

If you don’t have any plans for the morning of Saturday July 19 how about floating away a few hours for charity in the inaugural Cypress Gardens Paradise River Float-a-Thon?

The event will take part at Cypress Gardens Splash Island from 8am until noon and by taking part you can help raise money for the American Red Cross Polk County Chapter.

While away a few hours while helping to raise funds for disaster preparation and relief and support health and safety programmes.

You’ll need to raise a minimum of $40 to take part – and should arrive at the parking lot by 7.30am – it’s a bit of a hike to Splash Island from there!
