If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida then there are a number of shows and live entertainment options that you won’t want to miss. In no particular order here are ten you should add to your list.

1. Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade – Magic Kingdom

Affectionately known by regulars as the 3 o’clock parade this lively musical procession makes it’s way up Main Street USA every day of the week at 3pm. You’ll find yourself dancing along to the infectious beat as the floats go by carrying your favourite characters, from Aladdin and Alice in Wonderland through to Snow White and of course Mickey and Minnie.

2. Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Rafiki leads a jungle trek around the park. Your favourite characters are along for the ride in their jungle inspired vehicles, and numerous stilt walkers and dancers join in the fun. You’ll soon be dancing to the catchy rhythm and singing the happy song.

3. SpectroMagic – Magic Kingdom

As the lights go down on Main Street USA this night-time parade takes to the street with millions of lights adorning the floats and the characters. It’s a spectacular display of lights, colour and sound to finish up your day in style.

4. Fantasmic! – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Have you ever wanted to peek inside Mickey’s dreams? Well you can in this spectacular evening show which takes place most nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All your favourite villains appear in this show as Mickey has to fight the forces of evil who try to turn his dreams into a nightmare fantasmic!

5. Wishes – Magic Kingdom

Cinderella Castle is surrounded by countless fireworks in this musical display narrated by none other than Jiminy Cricket. Grab yourself a spot on Main Street USA for the best seat in the house for this firework finale.

6. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth – Epcot

Just as the park closes every night guests are encouraged to gather around the fire as the night sky above the World Showcase Lagoon comes alive with fireworks, music, water fountains and lasers.

7. Move it Shake it Celebrate it – Magic Kingdom

This street party takes place in front of Cinderella Castle on most days of the week. Your favourite characters join stilt walkers and dancers to get the celebration party started as guests are encouraged to celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries and other personal triumphs by joining in the party.

8. Block Party Bash – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fans of Buzz, Woody and the other Disney-Pixar characters will enjoy this daily block party. Acrobats and dancers get the party in motion and little ones are encouraged to join in the fun.

9. Dream Along with Mickey – Magic Kingdom

This live stage show features the Fab Four as well as many of the Disney Princes and Princesses as Mickey and his pals encourage kids of all ages to sing along with the show.

10. Beauty and the Beast – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fans of this classic Disney animated movie won’t want to miss this Broadway-calibre stage show which is performed several time a day over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Get there early as seating is limited and the theatre fills up fast.
