Disney’s Caribbean Beach – Great for Fans of Captain Jack

For a beach themed vacation look no further than the Caribbean Beach Resort – Disney’s largest Moderate Resort. With over 2,000 rooms in five villages you could find yourself in Barbados, Trinidad, Aruba, Martinique or Jamaica.

The five villages surround a huge 45-acre lake known as Barefoot Bay, in the middle of which is an island called Parrot Cay, which has a wonderful children’s playground.

Each village has its own white sandy beach, complete with sun loungers and hammocks – perfect for a little relaxation time!

What are the rooms like?

The standard rooms are bright and colourful with white oak headboards and footboards and bright bedspreads for that real Caribbean feel.

As with the other Moderates you’ll have a mini fridge and coffeemaker, but also a mini bar of snacks and drinks (extra charge). Most of the rooms have Double beds, though some Kings are available. There is also High Speed Internet Access for a daily charge.

Fans of Captain Jack Sparrow may prefer to sleep in one of the special Pirate Rooms, where ship-themed beds and other pirate accessories will make your scallywags and swashbucklers feel right at home!

What is the pool area like?

The Resort’s main pool has an amazing Spanish Fort theme, with stone walls and cannons as well as two water slides.

But if the main pool is too crowded then you can relax by one of the six village pools instead.

Is there any other recreation available?

There are a variety of bicycles and watercraft for rent at the Barefoot Bay Marina.

You can also enjoy a game of volleyball on the Barbados Village beach.

What eating options do I have?

The Old Port Royale Food Court offers standard food court fare, while the sit down restaurant Shutters offers casual dinners.

There is a limited room service available, which delivers pizzas to your room.

What else do I need to know?

The Caribbean Beach is a large resort and there could be quite some distance between your room and the amenities. You might want to consider a car if you stay here.

Free Disney World Bus Transportation is available to take you to the theme parks – but there is no direct bus to the other Resorts.
