Disney World Tickets – Park Hopper and Magic Your Way
If you are planning a holiday or vacation to Walt Disney World then you will need to buy some park tickets. Disney World tickets can be quite difficult to understand at first. Park Hopper, Magic Your Way — it’s almost a foreign language!
Don’t worry though – here’s the information you need to make sure you choose the Disney World tickets that are right for you and your family.
Theme Park Tickets – which ticket is right for me?
Magic Your Way
Magic Your Way tickets are the base tickets that give you access to any of the four main theme parks at Walt Disney World: magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios (previously known as MGM Studios).
Park Hopper
The Magic Your Way base ticket is pretty basic. For instance you can only use it to visit one park per day. If you are only planning a longer trip – say more than three or four days – this should be suitable for you as you can allocate one day for each park. If you are only going to be at Disney World for a couple of days then you might decide that you want to visit more than one park a day – in this situation you would need to add the Park Hopper option to your tickets. The park Hopper option lets you visit more than one park on each day – if you wanted to you could visit all four parks!
Water Parks and More
If you are planning a longer trip – of a week or more – then you might want to consider Disney’s other attractions, such as the water parks. For this you will need the Water Parks and More add on. This will allow you to visit Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. You can also visit the Wide World of Sports complex or Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.
Magic Your Way tickets can be bought in varying numbers of days, from 3 to 10 and the ticket becomes progressively better value for money the more days you buy. If you are planning a short trip you might find it cheaper to buy a 10 day ticket with the no expiration option so that you can use it on a future vacation.
Ultimate Tickets
If you are travelling from the UK then Disney has some special tickets for you. The Ultimate Tickets can be purchased for 14 days or 21 days and give you Park Hopper access to all four theme parks as well as access to the water parks.
Disney World Tickets for Children
If you are travelling with children then you need to be aware that the children’s ticket only covers ages 3 to 9. Under 3s go free but kids over 9 need to buy an adult Disney World ticket.
Tickets are non-refundable so make sure you buy the right tickets for your family. The tickets are also non-transferable. When you arrive at the park you have to put your finger on a sensor which is then assigned to your ticket. Avoid eBay sites or cheap ticket stands, if you buy these tickets they are likely to be fraudulent.
